I love carnations. Red in particular, I think they are amazing, the beautiful colour and texture. I recently found out carnations are the national flower of Spain. A beautiful flower to match a beautiful country. I have never been to Spain personally, but have seen pictures and heard from people who have been before. After much hinting, my partner decided to take me to Madrid for our anniversary. Madrid was amazing. If I had to base what I thought about the entirety of Spain, on what I thought about Madrid, then I would have to say I want to move to Spain!
I think my partner Is regretting taking me now, as much as he also loved Madrid, I don’t think he is as keen to move there as I am, I keep pestering him about how boring England is, and we should move. He settles for buying me carnations instead. I know it’s a silly dream I have, everything we own and know is here in England, I will just have to make do with the flower to remind me of my time in Madrid.
