Madrid offers conference goers great shopping opportunities whether it be at the designer boutiques, department stores, local specialist stores or the fabulous food markets there’s lots of variety to suit every taste. Be sure to make the effort to visit the different zones of the city and enjoy the wonderful sights and culture of the city. If you get lost or need a little direction the Madrid locals will show you the way.
As I do every summer, I was dropping by my neighbours house to feed their cat while they were catching some sun as they travelled to a Convention in Madrid. A normal visit usually consists of collecting the post, watering the plants, and feeding the cat before locking the door and skipping back to my little house. This time was slightly different, as I was picking up the post from the well-used welcome mat, I noticed an important looking letter marked with red ink. My good neighbour had told me that I was to open anything of this importance. As I did, my stomach turned. My friend’s house was going to be put through the process of repossession.
It was very strongly written and scared me, I suddenly realised that breaking this news to my friend who was enjoying their holiday and enjoying the Convention wasn’t the best but perhaps the only option I had. There was little hope as I had read somewhere that very same week about ways to prevent repossession.
I decided I had to tell them, luckily they were able to sort things out as soon as they got home. I will never forget that day, my experience of repossession wasn’t nice at all.
