If you have ever been to Manchester, you may have noticed a strange looking building with what looks like a ski slope on it’s inside. Actually, this is Urbis and it isn’t a ski slope. Fear not, if you like skiing there is a huge ski slope in Trafford! The architecture of Urbis reflects its modern, funky interior, full of art and expeditions.
My favourite aspect of Urbis last time I visited was its huge map showing UK takeaways and restaurants. Seeing that visual showed me the massive range and variety of food this country has to offer. Brilliant.
If food doesn’t float your boat, there are galleries and galleries of Art and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a fashion show. Urbis, remember the name!
Our memories are constantly being updated with a barrage of new information that we are expected to retain. Inevitably, there is a saturation point. All these new things coming in are in need of memory space, and at some point you will find yourself stood at the cash point staring blankly at the screen as it awaits your PIN. Even after entering it a hundred times it can slip from your memory, which is often not helped by the angry queue that quickly forms behind you.
Telephone numbers are my weak point. The amount of numbers we are we are expected to remember is just incredible- people’s home, their mobile and work. Thankfully I can refer to my contact list on my phone that I bought with the help of Marmalade Communications, but without this I would be lost.
If Marmalade Communications could put out a phone that rang me every time it was someone’s birthday I would be eternally grateful. The amount of times I have forgotten birthdays; not close friends or family, but mostly acquaintances or work colleagues. To be honest, they come up once a year, that’s ONE day out of 365 days, and never discussed prior or post. People you barely know will spring them upon you, and are inexhaustibly offended if you don’t remember.
Unfortunately, I find that the older I get I can barely remember which is my front door, let alone Bob from accounting’s birthday.
I stumbled upon a website that deals in mobile communication the other day. I was looking for a brand new handset with the best mobile phone deal I could find. The website known as Amazon Mobile Phones pointed me straight to a great deal, one which I snapped up at once. A brand new blackberry with a very good tariff showing great value for money.
Happy days! Now I am looking for a business mobile phone, so I will probably go back to amazon mobiles and get the same fast service once again.
